WARRANTY POLICY

Titanium Micro Limited Warranty

 

This limited warranty applies to Titanium Micro branded products (collectively, “Titanium Micro Products”), which are owned and distributed by Platinum Micro Inc.


Geographic Scope of Coverage

This limited warranty applies only to products purchased from authorized retailers or resellers within the United States and shipped to a valid address within the continental United States.

  • Products purchased outside the United States, or shipped outside the United States (including purchases through Amazon Global Store or other export programs), are not eligible for warranty coverage.
  • If you reside outside the United States, you may still request service; however, you will be responsible for all round-trip shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, and any other import/export fees.

What Does This Limited Warranty Cover?

This Limited Warranty applies to new Titanium Micro products purchased by the original customer from an authorized retailer or reseller, for normal personal use and not for resale.
Platinum Micro Inc. warrants that the covered product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, subject to the limitations and exclusions listed below.


How Long Does The Coverage Last?

The warranty period for your product is defined by the product type. In some cases, the warranty duration may be printed on your product packaging or in the quick start guide. If not, you can always check the coverage details on our Warranty Registration Page.

By registering your product online within 30 days of purchase, you may qualify for an Extended Warranty. The extended coverage period is shown on the registration page and applies in addition to the standard warranty.


What Does This Limited Warranty Not Cover?

This Limited Warranty does not cover problems or damage caused by:

  • Commercial use, misuse, or abuse of the product.

  • Accident, shock, electrostatic discharge, degaussing, heat, or humidity beyond product specifications.

  • Improper installation, operation, maintenance, modification, or tampering with hardware or software.

  • Use contrary to the instructions in the user manual.

  • Malfunctions caused by other equipment not supplied by Titanium Micro.

  • Lost passwords or user security information.

  • Data loss or corruption – it is the user’s responsibility to back up data regularly to a separate, secure storage medium.

  • Products with missing, removed, damaged, or altered labels or serial numbers.

  • Products with any unauthorized alterations (including the removal of any component or external cover).

  • Software, media, or manuals, which are licensed separately and not covered by this hardware warranty.

This Limited Warranty is also void if a product is returned without proper authorization.

Important: Consequential damages, incidental damages, and costs related to data recovery, removal, or installation are not recoverable under this warranty.


What Do You Have To Do?

We will not provide any warranty coverage unless your claim is in compliance with all terms of this limited warranty statement and you follow the proper return procedure.

  • Warranty returns must originate from and be shipped to a valid United States address.

  • Products purchased internationally or shipped internationally are not eligible for warranty coverage unless the customer arranges and pays for round-trip shipping to and from the United States, along with all related customs and import/export charges.

To request warranty service, please go to https://titaniummicro.com/RMA/ for Titanium Micro brand products. Once we determine that a replacement is required, you will be prompted to provide your name, address, phone number, email, and product serial number, and then issued a Return Order Number to use when returning the product. The product you return to us must be properly packaged in its original packaging (or packaging providing protection equivalent to the original packaging) and shipped, with the shipping charges prepaid via a shipping method that provides tracking, to the address provided when you received your Return Order Number. In addition to regular back-ups, if possible, back up your data before returning a drive, because the product you send to us or to an authorized service provider will not be returned to you.


What Will Platinum Micro Inc. Do?

If we authorize a warranty return, Platinum Micro Inc. will replace your product with a functionally equivalent replacement product.

  • Replacement products may be new, used, or recertified, and will be tested to meet Titanium Micro specifications.

  • Within the United States, Platinum Micro Inc. will pay the shipping costs to send the replacement product to you.

  • For customers outside the United States, you are responsible for all shipping, customs, and import/export fees related to the replacement.

  • The original product will not be returned. By sending your product for replacement, you agree to transfer ownership of the original product to Platinum Micro Inc.

  • Customers are responsible for removing all accessories and backing up data before returning the product, as no data recovery or accessory return is included in this process.

  • Advance replacement, data recovery, or other service plans are not included under this Limited Warranty.

  • Replacement products are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or 90 days, whichever is longer.


How Does State Law Apply?

The laws of the State of California, USA, govern this limited warranty. It gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. This limited warranty does not affect any additional rights you have under laws in your jurisdiction governing the sale of consumer goods, including, without limitation, national laws implementing EC Directive 99/44. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the limitations or exclusions in this limited warranty statement may not apply to you

WE DO NOT EXTEND ANY EXPRESS WARRANTIES, REPRESENTATIONS, CONDITIONS OR GUARANTEES REGARDING OUR RESCUE SERVICES OR ANY RESULTS THEREOF. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW AND SUBJECT TO ANY STATUTORY WARRANTIES THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY, WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR WARRANTY OF ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS WITH RESPECT TO THIS PROGRAM AND SERVICES. The Program and this disclaimer are unrelated to, and do not affect any warranties relating to your device that we or the seller may have extended to you.

Limitation of Liability. WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY HARM CAUSED, UNLESS YOUPROVE THAT WE CAUSED SUCH HARM INTENTIONALLY. WITHOUT LIMITING THEGENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR THE CONDITION, EXISTENCE, OR LOSS OF THE DATA YOU SEND US OR THE DATA WE RECOVER (IF ANY),ANY LOSS OF REVENUE OR LOSS OF PROFITS, OR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES HOWEVER CAUSED. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE PRICE OF THIS PROGRAM WOULD BE MUCH GREATER IF WE UNDERTOOK MORE EXTENSIVE LIABILITY. THIS PARAGRAPH WILL APPLY NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISIONS IN THE PROGRAM TERMS, OR THE FAILURE OF ANY REMEDY.
