What are IP ratings?

IP (Ingress Protection) of products is an international rating system that classifies devices for different environmental conditions All electrical devices have an IP rating which are defined in International Standard EN 60529. The rating provides a consistent measure of sealing effectiveness of electrical devices against intrusion from foreign bodies such as dirt or water.

Solid Rating 6: Completely dust-tight, protecting against all solids, including fine particles.

Liquid Rating 6: Highly water-resistant, capable of withstanding powerful jets of water without ingress.

What is MIL-STD ?

MIL-STD stands for Military Standard. It's a set of technical standards and guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Defense for military equipment, covering areas like electronics, communications, testing in harsh conditions, logistics, quality assurance, and human factors. These standards ensure reliability, interoperability, and safety in military operations.
